Why would I take this test?
Genomics is the cutting-edge science that explores your genes. A saliva sample gives detailed information on the genetic factors that affect how your body responds to:
different diseases, such as diabetes or thyroid conditions
food, for eating habits and how different foods affect you
fat and carbohydrate metabolism
sports, such as lung capacities and bone and muscle development and repair
The report is personal to you and gives indicators on over 100 genetic variations. With your health specialist, you’ll be able to see what its likely to mean for your body and what actions you can take to improve your health.
How a test is done?
Also known as spit tests, these are very simple, non-invasive procedures. You’ll be given a small tube into which you need to ‘spit’ until it reaches a mark, and that’s it. You’ll be asked to wash your hands before handling the tube.
